Paula has been with the diocesan newspaper since 1989. She is a native of Ft. Worth, who grew up in Corpus Christi. She is the recipient of several Catholic Press Association awards. Paula and her husband, Glenn, have eight children.

Mary Cottingham new associate editor for South Texas Catholic newspaper

Mary Cottingham is welcomed to the staff of the South Texas Catholic as the new associate editor.
Cottingham, 45, grew up in Houston, and has lived in Corpus Christi for six years. She has four brothers and three sisters, most of whom are spread out all over Texas with the exception of a brother in Washington D.C.
She has worked for various publications throughout South Texas as a graphic designer. Cottingham has a degree in Fine Arts and spent her younger years working in the field of Aviation Electronics. She has two dogs, Ziggy and B.J. Scruff. She loves the outdoors and likes to kayak, fish, read, snorkel and swim.

Joe has been with the South Texas Catholic since August, 1995. Joe retired from Central Power and Light Company in 1995. A native of Corpus Christ, he attended Incarnate Word Academy, Corpus Christi Cathedral, Corpus Christi College Academy and graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1958. Joe and his wife Nancy are parishioners at St. Pius X and have two daughters and two granddaughters.
